The Preschool in Capergnanica, built between 2019 and 2020, is located in the private courtyard of Palazzo Robati. Together with the crèche, it constitutes the first Infant-toddler Centre 0-6 in Italy to be part of a state comprehensive school. It is precisely for this reason that an educational project was created that takes into account the continuity and continuous collaboration between the two school orders, validated by the University of Milan Bicocca.
It is a school based on respect for the natural evolution of the child, which starts from the child’s skills in order to evolve them, offering stimuli and experiences for the child’s growth. At the centre is the development of autonomy, everything starts from here. The designs and materials of the toys present also reflect this choice and are geared towards the transmission and development of a more eco-sustainable awareness. The circular structure recalls the centrality of the child and, thanks to the installation of state-of-the-art technology, is close to zero impact on the environment.
